Tufte on Design Architectures

"If possible, design architectures should be spare, straightforward, conventional, and self- effacing; AND the evidence presented should be rich, complex, multivariate, causal.

The idea is to maximize the viewer's content reasoning time, and to minimize the design figuring out time and to reduce impediments to content reasoning."
