Bad Economics in the New York Times

You look at what passes for economics these days and it's no wonder we are so poor. From a NYT article about "Creative" "Economic Fix-Its".

“Age and disease will be our next engine of growth,” says Teresa Ghilarducci, a professor of economics at the New School. “That’s the really good news.”
Yes... broken windows would also be a really good "engine of growth," I'm sure.
