Currently reading Manias, Panics, and Crashes following your recommendation. Fantastic book, and a great find on your part.
Find us more 5/5s!
Could you recommend a strategic analysis book for the investor ?
Like security analysis but about competition, products, industries...
Competition Demystified by Bruce Greenwald is my personal favorite. Its mostly Michael Porter stuff, but much more applicable IMO.
Some names I haven't reviewed yet:
Competitive Strategy
The Art of Profitability
Those will probably both be 5/5.
The 5/5 reviews take time and inspiration to write.
I notice you have a book about distressed debt in the 5/5 section but would it help for analyzing distressed securities ?
Thank you
Moyer's distressed book is the go-to for the wanna-be distressed investor.
Everyone I know in the business started with that.
1st poster here.
Just started reading Art of Profitability - love it.
