Hot Summer
A correspondent writes in regarding the hot summer in North America,
There must be some place in the Northern Hemisphere where the the cold footprint offsets the hot footprint of the Great Plains and Southeast.Cold temperature records are being set in Alaska.
It is abnormally cold across the central and eastern Pacific Ocean.

What's your takeaway from the map?
P.S. I should have realized - total weathergirl bait!
