Literally Unbelievable Print on Today's CBOE Equity Put/Call Ratio

As of right now, CBOE is reporting that the Equity Put/Call Ratio for today (Monday) was 0.39. That would be 2.56 calls for every put.

You'll recall that the put/call ratio was instrumental in predicting the April top and flash crash, when on April 14 the call buying was the highest in history.

I wonder if today's CBOE data is in error? It would be astonishing if traders were still that bullish/buying that many calls after the recent market slump.

If that 0.39 print is real and people are really that bullish, the next surprise that disappoints them could cause a crash.

It's a false reading. A non-bearish mega-spread trade went on in symbol ATVI. See link for details.
