Sea Levels, Soros, and the Warmism Scam

There are sea walls, boat moorings and harbor structures all over the world whose elevation above sea-level has not changed since they were built. Some of these were built several thousand years ago. One such ocean-side structure is a seawall that Alexander the Great constructed to invade an island city off the coast of present-day Israel.

Several years ago, I talked about this seawall with a marine archaeologist who specializes in the coast of Israel. I was gathering information about whether sea levels have risen or fallen during the Industrial Age. They have not.

I started by by noticing, soon after Al Gore introduced his global warming swindle, that an ocean mooring made somewhere near Australia had not changed its elevation with respect to sea level since it was installed in the 1840s.

So the sea has not risen from melting ice. (The temperature of the earth has fallen for 80 years, possibly because Earth is heading into an Ice Age.)

WSJ: "Climate Science Is Not Settled"

"For the latest IPCC report (September 2013), its Working Group I, which focuses on physical science, uses an ensemble of some 55 different models. Although most of these models are tuned to reproduce the gross features of the Earth's climate, the marked differences in their details and projections reflect all of the limitations that I have described. For example:

• The models differ in their descriptions of the past century's global average surface temperature by more than three times the entire warming recorded during that time. Such mismatches are also present in many other basic climate factors, including rainfall, which is fundamental to the atmosphere's energy balance. As a result, the models give widely varying descriptions of the climate's inner workings. Since they disagree so markedly, no more than one of them can be right.

• Although the Earth's average surface temperature rose sharply by 0.9 degree Fahrenheit during the last quarter of the 20th century, it has increased much more slowly for the past 16 years, even as the human contribution to atmospheric carbon dioxide has risen by some 25%. This surprising fact demonstrates directly that natural influences and variability are powerful enough to counteract the present warming influence exerted by human activity. Yet the models famously fail to capture this slowing in the temperature rise."

Global warming was a promising hoax; luckily it's as dead as a doornail. The elites were scheming to impose an awful taxation and regulation tyranny based on this theory.

Remember the Dust Bowl?

With all the talk about the drought this summer, it's easy to forget about the dust bowl. Which you could read about in The Worst Hard Time: The Untold Story of Those Who Survived the Great American Dust Bowl. See my review. Steven Goddard points out,

"US and global surface temperature records are so corrupted as to be meaningless. Below are some news stories from the 1930s. July of 1936 was the hottest month in US history. The summer of 1934 was the worst drought in US history. Half of the lower 48 states set their all-time temperature record during the 1930s."

A correspondent writes in,

"The worst parasite of humans is other humans. Many statistics are produced for the purpose of eating other people for food. Climate statistics are manipulated to legitimize theft from people who use hydrocarbons for production."

The AGW pushers may be able to ban the use of coal or at least severely devalue coal reserves. That would be a great time to step in and buy reserves on the chance that AGW is a hoax.

Hot Summer

A correspondent writes in regarding the hot summer in North America,

There must be some place in the Northern Hemisphere where the the cold footprint offsets the hot footprint of the Great Plains and Southeast.

It is abnormally cold across the central and eastern Pacific Ocean.

Cold temperature records are being set in Alaska.
